It would be really cool if you were stranded on a small island, then you built a raft and you had to sail to another island, and then another island, and on and on and on.

Also, an energy meter would be nice that allows you to run, swim, do actions, and stuff. If you're out of energy, you have to rest by sitting down. This would mean that people could only swim a short distance and will have to use a boat to go a long distance.
